Threadlocking Adhesive - Medium Strength

LOCTITE 243 is a general-purpose threadlocker of medium strength, suitable for all metal threaded assemblies. This threadlocker secures and seals bolts, nuts, and studs to prevent loosening due to vibration in assemblies like pumps, motor mounting bolts, gearboxes, or presses.

The medium-strength, oil-tolerant thread sizes range from M6 to M20, with a service temperature of up to 180°C. It prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration by adding approximately 25% extra strength to the normal loosening torque.

The adhesive bonds well despite minor surface contamination due to industrial oils, such as motor oils, corrosion prevention oils, and cutting fluids. It has a characteristic blue color that fluoresces under UV light, allowing for easy detection of product application.
